Dear Colleague, welcome to the Romanian  page of the ESCP website.

Romania (pronounced /roumeniə/ ) is a country located at the crossroads of Central and Southeastern Europe, on the Lower Danube, within and outside the Carpathian arch, bordering on the Black Sea. Romania is the ninth largest country of the European Union ( 238,391 square kilometers by area), and has the seventh largest population of the European Union. The National day is on December the 1st. Today, Romania is a unitary parliamentary republic.
In Romania all surgeons are reunited in one association: Romanian Society of Surgery established 1898.
Coloproctology is imminent part of surgery in Romania and the training in coloproctology is not divided from that in surgery. There is no specialization in coloproctology in Romania but efforts are made to open specialization in coloproctology.
In 2010 was founded The Romanian Society of Coloproctology. The society has an annual congress and  members are surgeons and specialists in gastroenterology.
