Vienna Airport
Vienna International Airport is located in the Schwechat district, 18 km southeast of central Vienna. It is the country's largest airport and offers various options for transport to the city centre.

Travel between the airport and Vienna city centre
Vienna Airport can be reached easily, comfortably and affordably by public transport.
- City Airport Train (CAT): connects the airport with the transport hub 'Landstraße' at Wien Mitte in only 16 minutes and offers numerous additional services such as the City Check-In with baggage drop.
- Trains: several trains and commuter trains run from Vienna Airport to the city centre, namely the Intercity Express (ICE), and the S-Bahn S7. Each of these trains has their own timetable and ticket price, but the average trip will cost from €5 and will take 30-37 minutes.
- City Airport Taxi: taxis are available from Vienna Airport to the city centre will take 20-25 minutes. Available 24 hrs and cost approx. €35-€40.
- City Airport Bus: Vienna Airport bus is the cheapest way to get to the city. From the airport, you can take the express shuttle Vienna Airport Lines. Buses run once every 30 minutes from 06:00 to 00:30 and the average ticket cost is €8. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes.
Trains
Vienna Hauptbahnhof is Vienna's new central hub station, and it opened in December 2015.
All international trains and ÖBB domestic mainline trains now use this station.
Metro
Vienna has a fantastic metro system, with most parts of the city accessible in under 15 minutes. Visitors can buy a variety of tickets ranging from a single to a 7-day pass. Tickets should be purchased and validated before travelling.
