Learning objectives: They will understand the different technical aspects of this three platforms for transanal endoscopic surgery, the pros and cons in the use of them and the need of appropriate training for achieving good results.
Clinical/research background
Dr Tomulescu is a general surgeon focussing on minimally invasive approach in oncologic colorectal surgery, and upper GI, HBP, thoracic and endocrine surgery. His research has been around robotic rectal surgery, and the minimally invasive approach for thymectomy in myasthenia gravis. He has had post-university training in oncologic surgery and in minimally invasive surgery.
